This past week we had a chance to take our work relationships and make them stronger by taking a night out to bowl, laugh and of course drink some beer. I will admit that I did my fair share of trash talking. I can become a little competitive when it comes to any form of competition, whether I’m good at it or not. The team and my bosses were not immune to my taunts that night.

Overall it was a great time, apparently the higher ups at InfiniDy are pro bowlers and the rest of us not so much. We can either brush up on our bowling skills (not likely), or we can challenge the bosses to a game where we actually might stand a chance.

Being able to get past the office is valuable for our team. It gives us a chance to see who we are as individuals beyond the professional atmosphere and lets us share our stories, ideas and taunts without fear of repercussion. On a side note remember to keep the drinks to a minimum especially if you’re going to be at the office in the morning.

This past weekend, a local Kitchener gaming event took place called Headshots from the Heart. For those of you who haven’t heard about it, Headshots raises money for a charity called Child’s Play, which raises money for children in hospitals to get games and toys. This year, the InfiniDy team got to be a part of this event, and we couldn’t be happier!

Local gamers came together to battle each other in Dota 2, Team Fortress, League of Legends, Minecraft and Torchlight 2. Live streams event coordinators encouraged participants to donate and bid for auctions prizes. Last year Headshots raised $2500 for Child’s Play. This year Headshots has already raised more than last year. The donation period ends June 3rd, 2013, there is still time!

The InfiniDy team was happy to help out this year. Five members of our team were sponsored to attend the League of Legends lan party. We hope this inspires more people to donate and join future Headshots from the Hearts fundraiser. Check out the event!
